Guarding the Tongue When Fasting

Today is the 12th Ramadhan 1435 and as part of our Ramadhan Activities we have been learning about the importance of Guarding the Tongue When Fasting and what to do if we Eat or Drink Forgetfully When Fasting.

We started off this morning by listening to a talk from Shaykh Uthaymeen, rahimahullah, called ‘The Evil Effects of Backbiting’.

Then my son wrote about backbiting in general and backbiting while fasting as using our A to Z of Akhlaaq Notebooking Pages.

My eldest daughter also completed a page from the TJ Ramadan Copywork Notebook, writing about how backbiting and lying destroys our fast.

Then we discussed the ahadeeth and ruling on what we should do if we eat or drink forgetfully while fasting.

My son wrote out a page for his Ramadhan Notebook and my daughter completed a page from the TJ Ramadan Copywork Notebook and a page from the Ramadan Notebooking Pages by A Muslim Homeschool.

My younger girls also learned about what to do if we eat and drink forgetfully while fasting and about what ruins our fast using the ‘Welcome Ramadan’ Workbook by A Muslim Homeschool.
