Animals in the Qur’an Notebook Pages ~ Crow

This afternoon I put together this set of notebook pages on the Crow which you can download HERE.

Allah mentions the Crow in the 5th chapter of the Qur’an in the story of Habil and Qabil (Cain and Abel). This was the story of the first ever murder in which Qabil killed his brother Habil. The story is related in detail in the Tafsir of Ibn Kathir. The first time I read this tafsir I was actually rather shocked to learn how the Shaytaan (devil) showed Qabil how to commit the murder of his brother. And afterwards he had no idea what to do with his brother’s body until Allah sent a crow to scratch up the ground. From watching the crow Qabil learned he should dig up the earth and bury his brother ~ Subhan’Allah!

These pages contain pictures of different members of the crow family and you can use the RSPB Website to help complete the pages.
