India Lapbook

1

I’m finally getting round to sorting out some of my files and pictures from the old computer and I came across my son’s lapbook on India as well as the photos from our crazy attempt at making chappatis!

I downloaded the templates for this lapbook from the Homeschool Share website. As part of our India unit study we also made Indian animal paper plates and my son is working on a project folder on the Religions of India.

Here is how the lapbook looks when opened out. I created two additional worksheets for this lapbook which you can download below.

We had a hard time figuring out what the last food picture was as there is no information provided with the lapbook template. The first image is some sort of cereal which we labelled as wheat, the second image is a mango and the third image, after much research, we discovered is actually black pepper!

On the reverse of lapbook Yusef drew his own version of the Indian game: Parcheesi which has similar rules to Ludo.

  1. Assalamuaalaikum, how do you play this game of Ludo?

  2. Thank you. I came across this post when searching for a lapbook on India for my son to complete to gain one of his cub scout badges. I’d already seen the HSS templates and wanted to add something about the Ganges as we have recently watched an interesting documentary about it. Thanks for sharing your worksheet 🙂
